COLLEGE STATION, TX- Today, Scott Bland for Congress announced the endorsement of former CIA Director of Counterintelligence Jim Olson in his campaign for Texas’s 17th district. In announcing his support, Olson cited Bland’s service as a Secret Service Agent.

“Thank you [Scott Bland] for your past and future service to our country. We need strong conservatives with a background of service like you in Washington! God bless you and God bless America!”

Bland stated, “I’m grateful to have the endorsement of someone with the national security experience of Jim Olson. He knows that I understand the border must be locked down because it’s not an immigration issue, it’s a matter of national security. I’ve seen the crisis at our southern border firsthand and I’m ready to go to Washington to work with President Trump to fix it.”

This endorsement comes after Scott Bland was recently endorsed by singer-song writer and second amendment activist Ted Nugent. With his momentum building, Scott has maintained a full schedule of events and hosted meet and greets throughout the 17th District.

Scott Bland has been the President and owner of his family’s construction company in Waco for over ten years. As a business owner, former Secret Service Agent and father of two adopted children, Scott Bland is going to Congress to stand with President Trump to secure the border, strengthen our workforce and protect life.
